“Daniel was a blessing from heaven when I immigrated to this country. I remember calling him just a couple weeks before the application deadline to a master's degree program which I wanted to pursue. He helped me polish my resume, and added clarification to my confusing candidate statement. As a non-native speaker and a fairly recent immigrant, I struggled to find the correct words to state my professional achievements and in general to tell the story of my life.

Daniel was patient and kind when he worked with me. He encouraged me to brainstorm specific situations in my career and within a couple of sessions he helped me craft the perfect statement of purpose. With his help I was able to describe my professional credentials with language of substance, rather than with words that were bland and passive. Needless to say, after working with him my resume was shining. I was accepted into the program and was granted a scholarship. I could have not done this without his help.

I recently consulted him again about an application letter. He made a few changes and emphasized the advantage of using powerful words to state my accomplishments. He did not change my story-he simply made it more powerful.”
